He is a popular author and lecturer on human and romantic relationships and the “Dynamics of Divorce.” Mr. Coates has been named one of Hawai‘i’s “Super Lawyers” and selected as “Best Divorce Lawyer” by readers of Honolulu Weekly and Honolulu Magazine.
